Credits and billing

One credit is $0.0001 of data-vendor cost. A lookup holds its most likely ceiling before it runs and is charged what the vendor actually billed, never more. Plan credits expire monthly; bought credits never expire.

Credits pay for the work netweft buys on your behalf: search data, results pages, backlink lists, crawled pages and AI model calls. Every workspace shares one balance.

What a credit is

One credit is $0.0001 of the data vendor’s cost, so 10,000 credits are $1.00 of vendor spend. A lookup is charged what the vendor billed for it, converted at that rate.

What each operation costs

Operation Credits Per
Rank check 20 page of 10 results, per keyword, per device (40 at the default depth of 20)
Keyword volume 1.2 plus 120 per request keyword
Keyword ideas up to 360 request of up to 200 ideas
Domain overview 362 request
Ranked keywords, Top pages, Domain keyword ideas up to 360 page of up to 200 rows
Backlink summary 241 request
Backlinks, Referring domains, Top linked pages up to 312 page of up to 200 rows
AI brand visibility 2,150 check, one assistant
Keyword data in the 49 countries without full data 900 request, whatever the keyword count

Lighthouse check 50 measured page, opt-in
Assistant reply up to 223 question
AI context draft up to 12 draft
Onboarding strategist up to 256 turn

The same lookup with the same settings within 24 hours answers from a stored copy and costs nothing. Keyword metrics, results pages, audits and AI calls are never served from a stored copy.

How a charge works

  1. Hold. Before a paid lookup runs, netweft holds its price from the rate card above. If the balance cannot cover the hold, the lookup is refused and nothing is bought.
  2. Run. netweft asks the vendor.
  3. Settle. The vendor reports what it billed. The workspace is charged that amount, rounded up to a whole credit, and the rest of the hold is released.

The hold is the ceiling: a charge never exceeds it. A list priced “up to” a figure is held at its 200-row ceiling, so a page of 50 rows settles for less. Rank checks and audits hold their whole run up front and settle when they finish; a run that runs out of credits partway pauses and carries on after a top-up.

Which credits are spent first

Pool Where it comes from Expires
Trial credits the plan’s free trial with the trial
Plan credits each month of the plan at the end of that month
Bought credits top-ups never

Credits that expire are spent first, soonest expiry first, so bought credits always go last. Billing, then Credits, shows the balance, a daily chart of where credits went, and every settled charge with the lookup that made it.

Top-ups

Owners and admins buy credits at 2,500 credits per dollar, from $10 to $10,000 at a time. Top-ups are allowed during a trial.

Auto top-up

Auto top-up charges the card on file when the balance falls low, so a scheduled rank check is not interrupted. It is on by default once the trial ends, with these settings:

Setting Default
Reload amount $20
Fires below 10% of the plan’s monthly credits
Most it can charge in a day $60
Most charges in a day 3

Owners and admins change or switch it off under Credits. A declined card is retried once; after a second decline auto top-up stops until an owner or admin turns it back on.

Rate limits

Paid requests are limited to 60 a minute per workspace, and 10 a minute during a trial. See Plans and trials for prices, limits and plan changes.
