Terms
Last updated
These terms cover the use of netweft, the SEO research and rank-tracking
product at app.netweft.com.
The service
netweft researches keywords, checks search positions on a schedule, crawls sites you nominate, and reports domain and backlink data, within the limits of the plan a workspace is on.
Accounts
An account is created by signing in with Google or GitHub, or with an email address and a password. You are responsible for what happens under your account, for the security of the Google or GitHub account behind it, and for keeping your password to yourself.
API keys are issued for the MCP server only. Each key reads the workspace it belongs to, within the scopes it was given; treat a key like a password and revoke one you no longer trust.
Plans, credits and billing
There is no free tier. A workspace with no active subscription has no access.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Polar and begin with a trial of the length stated for the plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
Credits meter every operation that costs money to perform:
- Plan credits are granted at the start of each billing period and expire at the end of it.
- Top-up credits are purchased separately and do not expire.
- Plan credits are always spent first.
- Credits are reserved before an operation runs and settled against the actual cost afterwards. A workspace without sufficient credits is refused before the operation runs.
Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
Prices, plan limits and the credit rate card are published on the pricing page and may change. Changes apply from your next billing period.
Using the crawler responsibly
The site audit fetches pages from a domain you nominate. You must only point it
at a site you own or have permission to crawl. The crawler identifies itself,
honours robots.txt, and is rate limited — but permission is your
responsibility, not ours to infer.
Do not use netweft to attempt to overwhelm a site, to circumvent access controls, or to collect personal data from pages it fetches.
The free tools
The free tools at netweft.com/tools need no account. The page checker and the
redirect checker fetch one URL you give them, so the crawler rules above apply:
point them only at pages you may check. They are limited per visitor, and
netweft may refuse or withdraw them at any time.
What the data is
SEO metrics — search volume, difficulty, cost per click, competition, backlink counts — are estimates supplied by third-party data providers. They are not measurements of your traffic and they are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or current.
Rank snapshots are records of what was observed for a query in a market at a moment. Search results are personalised, localised and continuously re-ranked; a snapshot is evidence of one reading, not a statement about every reading.
Decisions you make from this data are yours.
Availability
netweft is provided as it is, without a service level agreement. Scheduled work may be delayed, third-party providers may fail, and maintenance happens. The product is built to degrade rather than fail where it can — the cache is optional, and a missing cache means slower answers rather than no answers — but that is a design property, not a guarantee of uptime.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close a workspace that breaches these terms, in particular the crawler section, or that fails to pay. You may close your workspace at any time from the dashboard; doing so deletes its data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, netweft is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost revenue or lost rankings, or for decisions taken on the basis of third-party data supplied through the product. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
Material changes will be published here with a new date at the top of the page. Continuing to use netweft after a change means accepting it.
