SEO page checker

Paste a URL and netweft fetches that one page and checks it against the rules its site audit runs on every page, with a fix for each issue it finds.

netweft fetches the one URL you give. No sign-up, no stored results.

How to use it

  1. 1 Paste the page's URL, with or without https://.
  2. 2 Choose Check page. A Cloudflare check runs out of sight first.
  3. 3 Read the facts, then each issue with how to fix it.

What it checks

The checker fetches the page once and runs the rules netweft's site audit can answer from one page: the HTTP status, redirects on the way, the title and meta description and their lengths, the h1 and heading order, images without alt text, thin content, links out, noindex, a canonical pointing elsewhere, and a slow response.

Length rules are guidance rather than errors. A title outside 30 to 60 characters or a description outside 70 to 160 can still rank; the checker says so because Google often rewrites or cuts them.

What it cannot check

Rules that compare pages need a crawl: duplicate titles, duplicate content, broken internal links and pages nothing links to. A netweft site audit crawls the whole site to find those.

Questions

How does the check run?
netweft's API fetches the one URL from its own servers, for at most 10 seconds and 1 MB, and does not follow links to other pages. It allows 5 checks a minute and 20 a day per visitor.
Does it run the page's JavaScript?
No. The page is fetched without running scripts, so content a page builds in the browser is not seen. Search engines render scripts, so a page that relies on them may look thinner here than it does to Google.
What can it check?
Only an HTML page under 1 MB. A PDF, an image or a larger page is refused with a reason.

A netweft site audit runs these rules on every page of a site, adds the ones that compare pages, and ranks every issue by severity. See how

Check it every week instead.

netweft runs these checks across a whole site and its rankings on a schedule, and keeps every result.
