Redirect checker and HTTP header viewer
Paste a URL to follow it through every redirect to the page that finally answers, with the status code, Location and headers at each step.
netweft fetches the one URL you give. No sign-up, no stored results.
How to use it
- 1 Paste a URL, with or without https://.
- 2 Choose Check redirects. A Cloudflare check runs out of sight first.
- 3 Read each hop's status and Location, then the final headers.
Why the chain matters
Every redirect is a round trip before the page starts loading, and a chain of them is common after a migration or an http to https move. Point the first URL straight at the last one and the chain is gone.
A 301 or 308 says the move is permanent; a 302 or 307 says it is temporary. Use a permanent redirect for a page that has moved for good.
What the headers show
The final answer's headers show how the page is served: its content type, caching, an X-Robots-Tag that can noindex a page without touching its HTML, and the security headers such as Strict-Transport-Security. Cookies are left out.
Questions
- How does the check run?
- netweft's API follows the URL from its own servers, one hop at a time, up to 5 redirects and 10 seconds. It reads headers only, never the page body, and allows 5 checks a minute and 20 a day per visitor.
- Can it reach a private or internal address?
- No. Every hop is checked before it is requested, and an address inside a private network is refused.
- Why does a page I can open show an error here?
- The site's firewall or bot protection answered the request from netweft's servers differently from a browser. Check the same URL in your browser's network panel.
