Choose a schema type, fill in the form, and copy JSON-LD that is valid schema.org, with empty fields left out.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Schema type
JSON-LD
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Organization"
}
</script>

Still needed for a rich result: Name, Website.

How to use it

  1. 1 Choose the type that matches the page.
  2. 2 Fill in the fields; required ones are marked.
  3. 3 Copy the script tag into the page.

What structured data is for

JSON-LD describes a page's content in a vocabulary search engines read, schema.org. It can make a page eligible for a rich result, such as a product's price in the listing; eligibility is not a guarantee, and the search engine decides.

Mark up only what the page shows. A price, rating or author in the markup that is not on the page breaks the search engines' guidelines.

The four types here

Organization names the business behind a site, with its logo and profiles. Article describes a post, with its author and dates. Product carries a price and currency. BreadcrumbList describes the trail from the home page to this one.

Questions

Where does the markup go?
In the page's head or body as a script tag of type application/ld+json. The tool writes the whole tag.
How do I check it works?
Run the page through Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator after you publish it.
Is what I type sent anywhere?
No. The markup is built in this page and nothing is sent anywhere.
