Spending a trial's credits on one real domain

Pricing 3 min read

A trial gets 3,000 to 8,000 credits by plan, 10 paid requests a minute and no auto top-up. Spend them on one domain you know: an overview, its referring domains, metrics for your terms, one audit, and a tracker on twenty keywords and one device, run by hand.

A trial is a real plan with a smaller balance. Pro’s trial is 3 days and runs on 3,000 credits, Studio’s is 7 days on 5,000, and Agency’s is 7 days on 8,000. Every trial is held to 10 paid requests a minute instead of 60 and cannot use auto top-up. The reasons are in why netweft has no free tier. This guide spends the smallest of them, Pro’s 3,000.

Pick one domain you already know

The trial exists to answer one question: do the numbers match what you know? That only works on a domain you have opinions about. Your own site is best; a competitor you watch closely is next. A domain you have never looked at gives you numbers you cannot judge.

A budget that fills every screen

Each lookup below is held at its ceiling before it runs, and list lookups settle for less when the vendor returns fewer rows, so the real total comes in under this.

What Credits, at most
Domain overview 362
Referring domains 312
Keyword ideas from one seed 360
Metrics for 100 keywords 240
One audit of 500 pages 500
Rank check, 20 keywords, one device, default depth 800
Total 2,574

On Pro’s 3,000 that leaves at least 426 credits for whatever the first pass makes you curious about: another seed, or a second rank check a day later to see the record grow.

The two settings that eat a trial

Devices. A new rank tracker checks desktop and mobile unless told otherwise, and each device is a separate 40-credit check at the default depth. One check of 100 keywords on both devices is 8,000 credits, more than all of Pro’s trial. Track twenty keywords on one device.

Schedule. A tracker runs weekly by default. In a short trial the first scheduled run is the one that matters; set it to manual and press the button when the keyword list is final, so the credits buy the list you meant.

The audit has a third: page speed. It is off unless you turn it on for an audit, and at 50 credits a page it is worth leaving off during a trial. The crawl itself costs 1 credit a page.

What to check while it runs

  • Does the domain overview look like the site you know?
  • Does the audit’s first critical issue match something you suspected?
  • Does the rank check agree with what Search Console says about the same terms? (Connecting Google costs no credits; see GA4 beside Search Console.)

If the answers are yes, the plan’s allowance is the same product with a larger balance. If they are no, you found out for a trial’s credits.

If the trial runs out

A workspace out of credits is refused before anything is bought, with the shortfall named. Nothing is charged, nothing is half done, and everything already stored stays readable. An owner or admin can also end the trial early from Billing to start the paid plan and its full monthly credits.

Every claim in these guides is something the product does.

There is no free tier. Three plans from $50 a month, each opening with a free trial.
