**Sign in with Google, GitHub or an email address, choose a plan to start its trial, then answer six onboarding steps. You finish with a project, saved keywords and a rank tracker that checks them weekly.**

This page walks one workspace from the first sign-in to the first stored rank
check. Each step links to the page that covers it in full.

Open [app.netweft.com](https://app.netweft.com) and sign in one of three ways:

1. **Google.** The first sign-in creates the account. netweft asks for no
Search Console or Analytics access here; those are requested later, per
   project.
2. **GitHub.** The same as Google: the first sign-in creates the account.
3. **Email and password.** Choose a password of 10 to 128 characters. netweft
emails a six-digit code, and entering it verifies the address and signs you
in. A code works for five minutes and allows three wrong attempts.

Every sign-in passes a Cloudflare Turnstile check. Most of the time it runs out
of sight; occasionally Cloudflare asks for one click.

Your first sign-in also creates your **workspace**: the account-level container
that holds projects, credits, the plan and the team. You are its owner.

## Choose a plan

netweft has no free tier. A workspace with no plan can sign in and read its
settings, but every screen that does SEO work asks for a plan first. Each plan
opens with a free trial and trial credits:

| Plan | Price | Trial | Trial credits | Credits a month after the trial |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Pro | $50 a month | 3 days | 3,000 | 125,000 |
| Studio | $100 a month | 7 days | 5,000 | 280,000 |
| Agency | $200 a month | 7 days | 8,000 | 600,000 |

A workspace gets one trial, whichever plan or billing interval it picks.
[Plans and trials](/docs/plans-and-trials) covers the limits, yearly billing
and what happens when a trial ends.

## Answer the onboarding steps

A new workspace goes through six short steps once. You can skip any of them
and come back from the project later.

1. **About you.** Who you do SEO for and what you came for. This only shapes
   the onboarding that follows.
2. **Your site.** The domain your first project tracks.
3. **Market.** The country and language every lookup in the project uses.
4. **Brief.** A few sentences about the business, saved as the project's
[context](/docs/project-context) for the assistant to read.
5. **Search Console.** Connect Google Search Console for the project, or skip
   it. See [Search performance](/docs/search-performance).
6. **Strategy.** The onboarding strategist reads your site and proposes
keywords and a first plan, using only figures it looked up.

## Save keywords and start tracking

1. Open **Keyword research**, enter a seed such as your product category, and
choose how many ideas to fetch. Ideas arrive with volume, cost per click,
difficulty and intent. See [Keyword research](/docs/keyword-research).
2. Select the ideas worth keeping and save them. Saved keywords keep their
   metrics and monthly volume history.
3. Open **Rank tracking**, choose **Track a domain**, and add saved keywords
to the tracker. A new tracker reads the top 20 results,
so each check costs 40 credits per keyword per device.
   See [Rank tracking](/docs/rank-tracking).
4. Choose **Run check now**, or let the weekly schedule run it.

When the check finishes, every position is stored with the time it was seen.
A keyword that did not rank is stored as "not ranking", never as a zero.

  costs before you run it.
