**A project is one site: a domain and the market its keywords are measured in. netweft has keyword data for 143 countries; 49 of them come without keyword difficulty and search intent.**

A project is one site you work on. It holds a name, a domain and a market, and
every saved keyword, tracker, audit and assistant chat in it belongs to that
project alone.

## Create a project

Owners and admins choose **New project** on **Projects**. A project needs a
name of up to 120 characters; the domain and the market can be set now or
later. The onboarding steps create the first project for you.

Each plan caps how many projects a workspace holds at once:
5 on Pro, 12 on
Studio and 25 on Agency.
Archived projects do not count against the cap.

## The domain

The domain is what audits crawl, what rank trackers look for in the results,
and what the Search Console connection reads. Change it under **Project
settings**. Changing it keeps the project's history, so earlier audits and rank
checks stay as they were recorded against the old domain. Two active projects
in one workspace cannot share a domain.

## The market

The market is a country and a language. Search volume, cost per click,
rankings and competitors are all read from it, and every lookup in the project
uses it unless the screen lets you pick another country for one lookup.

netweft has keyword data for 143 countries, served by two sources:

| Countries | Search volume, cost per click, competition | Keyword difficulty and search intent |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 94 | yes | yes |
| 49 | yes | no |

**Project settings** says so under the market when the chosen country is one of
the 49. Some countries search in more than one language, and the language list
offers each of them; the largest market is the default.

When a screen looks up a country other than the project's, the language
switches to that country's default, so a Vietnamese-language project that
looks up Germany asks in German.

## Archive and restore

Archiving a project stops its scheduled work: queued audits and rank checks
are cancelled, scheduled checks stop, and nothing new is bought for it.
Everything recorded stays readable by everyone in the workspace, and nobody can
change it until it is restored. Restoring picks
up where the project left off, with its trackers, keywords and history intact.

Owners and admins archive and restore projects from the **Archived** and
**Active** tabs on **Projects**. Members see both tabs and every project, and
cannot create, edit or archive one. See [Team and roles](/docs/team-and-roles).
